Presentation of the foulard for the Pope

The Museum hosts the presentation of the foulard made by designer Pierangelo Masciadri. In particular, it was created for Pope John Paul II to celebrate the Jubilee in year 2000.
The foulard, whose dimensions are 140 cm x 140 cm, is printed in only 100 specimens on Jacquard silk fabric and represents the 262 Pontiffs in Christian history.
The meaning of such work of art is the accomplishment of the message contained in the letter “Cum Petro in novo millennio” (with Peter into the new millennium) written by the Pope.
The money collected is bound to be delivered to the Pontiff.
