Culture in movimento
From 8th February to 4th March 2011, the Museum hosts in Como a new appointment of the travelling exhibition showing the intangible heritage of Lombardy entitled Culture in Movimento. Alla scoperta delle eredità immateriali in Lombardia organised by Archivio di Etnografia e Storia Sociale (AESS) of Direzione Generale Cultura – Regione Lombardia.
Such exhibition displays extraordinary examples of arts, know-how, practice and knowledge documenting the liveliness of Lombardy cultural heritage; particularly, it stages a visual and sonorous itinerary at the discovery of the living heritage belonging to local communities.
AESS has been collecting documents, photographs, videos and records for over thirty years and this work homages the numerous ways of expression of such heritage, which are referable to five themes from UNESCO Convention: oral expressions; performances; special customs and festivity; events revolving around nature and universe; knowledge and know-how relative to handicrafts and traditional jobs.
The exhibition, which was diplayed in various provinces of Lombardy such as Biandronno (Varese), Villa Carcina (Brescia), San Benedetto Po (Mantova), Lodi Vecchio (Lodi), Monza, Galbiate (Lecco), Stradella (Pavia), Cremona e Malegno (Brescia) all over 2009 and 2010, is supported by Commissione Nazionale Italiana per l’UNESCO (Italian National Commission for UNESCO).
The entrance to the temporary exhibition is free of charge.
