INTERNATIONAL TOURIST GUIDES DAY

On the occasion of the annual International Tourist Guides Day, which is going to be celebrated all over the world on 21st February 2010, the Educational Silk Museum cooperates with tourism professionals by hosting free guides tours.

The tour guides of the territory will offer the chance to know more about the whole silk manufacturing process, along with the social history and economy of Como, the passion and the artistic flair of its people.

Moreover, the exhibition on trimmings (whose title is La passamaneria: Storia di tessuti e tecnologie produttive comasche degli anni 1920-1940) is on display at the Museum with marvellous items and a rich collection of trimming samples.
