AMI-Lombardia 2005 – ‘Neuchâtel Lace’ and the works of Lombardy schools

On the occasion of the last edition of the five-year project “Progetto Penelope”, the Museum hosts “Associazione Merlettaie Italiane”.
‘Neuchâtel lace’ is the theme of the historical section: for this purpose, the Museum of Valangin lent many laces on display. The modern section displays the works of about twenty bobbin lace schools of Lombardy.

A two-day stage is taking place on 15th and 16th October with teachers Marie-Louise Montandon and Madeleine Luciani.
On 8th and 9th October, ten Italian lace makers are going to attend the second half of the course on modern lace with teacher Mira Fidanza.
