The Educational Silk Museum stores and preserves the textile material not on display in order to quantify the Museum heritage, survey its conditions for future restoration work and slow down its decay.
The material is subdivided into subjects and divisions to manage the store data and group the Museum finds by category.
Restoration work is carried out by interdisciplinary groups of external experts. Particularly, it aims at displaying the restored finds in the permanent exhibition and preserving the conditions of the objects not on display.
