The classification of the Museum heritage started in 1996 by filing the most important exhibits.
In 2002, a more complete description was introduced. In particular, it was drawn up by ICCD and, therefore, recognised at national level (link: Istituto Centrale per la Catalogazione e la Documentazione).

Such filing process continued in 2004 with annual projects promoted by Regione Lombardia-SIRBeC (link: Sistema Informativo Regionale Beni Culturali), which are bound to end in 2010 with the creation of nearly 950 files according to BDM and PST standards.

The results of the filing project will be published in the portal Lombardia Beni Culturali (link: Portale Lombardia Beni Culturali), where the Museum is already present in the section “Luoghi della Cultura”.
